most loved post of the year

okay maybe not the most loved but i'm going to say it is. children dressed up in costumes is the best thing ever!! i love it so much.

so first off. Amelia transformed from Dorothy into Cinderella. She was adorable as Dorothy, but she loved being Cinderella the best! She fell asleep in her costume and still wont let me take it off her. haha. what a cutie. Evelyns cat whiskers aren't coming off as easily as i hoped either. oh well, i don't think she'll mind going to school with whiskers on her face today.

Is it totally lame of me as a mother that this was Amelia's first time actually trick or treating? She's been to a trunk or treat but like actually door to door. She's almost 3! i'm kinda glad it was though, she understood and i didn't have to push i stroller she could do it all on her own.

this was a great year. the girls got really tired and slept great last night!

preschool party

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

yesterday was a fun morning. Evelyn had her preschool halloween party.

the three of us (evelyn, amelia, and myself) dressed up and went to party.

evelyn is so excited to be a cat this year. yeah thats right she totally changed her mind on the whole spongebob thing and wanted to be a cat. i wouldn't be surprised if she ended up being a cat for many halloweens. she's been a little cat crazy as of late.

anywho.

i was one of two moms that dressed up. i'd say there were at least 15 moms there with the kids oh and a few dads there too. hahaha. it was fun. people kept looking at me, i wonder why? hmmm.

HAPPY OCTOBER!!!!


my favorite month of the entire year! i love october for so many reaason. well one, all the free candy my children get at the end of the month. really looking forward to that. well and i guess having my children dress all cute and have a great time is a plus too, but candy! yay.

i got all the decorations out and working on the finishing touches right now. aka. all the spider webs. yay!

i know you are wanting to know if we were able to find out what we are having.

i will tell you that yes. we found out what we are having. BUT. we will be keeping it to ourselves for just a short time longer. sorry, but we haven't told all our families yet. just waiting for the right moment. :) i have a hard time keeping secrets so this is hard for me, just so you know i'm not getting any joy out of making everyone wait. if that helps.

hey but good new, hopefully, we'll be finding out what my brother and SIL are having today! i'm just keeping tradition alive and letting them tell everyone before we do. :) i've never been more exciting to check for the mail man!

asked my children what they would like to be for halloween.

there answers didn't really surpirse me at all.

amelia- she didn't really answer, but she said she wants to be pretty. so i'm thinking some sort of princess. really as long as she is wearing a poofy skirt and her pretty sparkly shoes she will be as happy as a clam. :)


evelyn- this girl is funny. i asked do you want to match your sister and be a princess or ballerina. She laughs and says "no mom, i'm gonna be spongebob!"

yeah. hahahaha this girls just cracks me up!! she is so not girly and i love it!!

reminds me of myself when i was her age. :)

 

yep i was an army dude sportin a sweet mustache and a quasi-mullet. :)

the next day

I guess since it's the 1st of November the infamous Halloween post must be happening today.....


and yea verily, here is it!

Let me just say a few things before i put a few pictures.

This is the first time my husband has actually gotten a costume (on his own i might add) and dressed up with me and matched! i told him it was the greatest Halloween yet, and he said happy anniversary. hahaha. so every 5 years he'll dress up? it was well worth the wait though!

and last night i took Evelyn around the neighborhood, and then i hit up a werewolf bar mitzvah Halloween party. it was sahweet. i have no pictures but i'm sure i can share a link with you soon of the cool people that were there. i was so excited when i saw that Katniss and Peeta were there. :)
