weekly update

Well now this week has flown by too! Which i love cause i seriously needs to be two weeks from today like NOW!!!! i've been waiting for that day for a long time. i'll explain when we get closer, PROMISE! EEEEEEEK!

anywho.


So i'm 27 weeks now. feeling like a whale. typical. so by the time i actually have the kid i'll feel like a.....hmmmm....a beached whale. :) yep.

had my glucose test done on monday. YUM. i gotta be honest, i don't mind the drink at all. It tastes like hawaiian punch (i drink the red kind). Not too shabby.  I'm hoping i dont get a call back but, i wouldn't be shocked if i did. oh well, i guess we'll see.


so i got a early christmas present. eeeeek! you might be seeing some higher quality picture around here soon. i got a sweet new camera.  Nothing fancy, but clearly going to be better than my phone. haha.

i mean come on its super pretty too! oooo i love the blue! its even shinier in person. yay! so just in time to take pictures of all of Amelia's birthday fesivities, which really isn't anything but still. So excited!

well we did it folks.

we got to the edge of the cliff and jumped.

we bought a mini van. oh goodness. i've named it Vana and she is a....

it ain't no toyota, it's cooler.  05' dodge caravan. it's pretty pimp if you ask me. 

I've entered into a new realm of motherhood.

next here comes recitals, lessons, play dates, school.  okay, most of that won't happen, but I'm just saying it could, but I'm not planning on going many places.

i honestly don't know how to have a vehicle.  I'm so used to being home that i will probably get over whelmed with just the thought that i could go somewhere if needed.

it's weird. i keep looking outside...yep, it's still there, nope not a dream.


oh and we did not know that it had some sort of alarm.

we don't have a clicker thing to get in the car so you do it old fashion way. put the key in and open the driver side door.  well i did that, hop in and it starts honking. uhhhh, i go into crazy mode, did i turn the key the wrong direction? did i accidentally hit something and turn something on? they never said it had an alarm! i'm looking around to see if there is a way to turn in off, not that i can see.  so i thought, meh, i'll just put the key in to start it up that should shut it up. it did. i'm not sure how to keep it from doing this. it didn't do it ever when we were testing it or driving it around that morning. hmmm. i wonder if they even knew. who knows all i know is i need that thing out pronto!  it's so flippin annoying. ugh. oh well.

oh and mia had a full fledged freak out(i've never heard her scream that loud before) when we tried to get her to go home in the van. it was the only option. she was not a happy camper and screamed most of the way home until she fell asleep.

oh children, such joys.  it's a big adjustment for all of us for sure. it will take some time to get used to it. like trying to drive at night. i haven't driven a vehicle with dark tint at night in for EVER it was weird. or maybe the tint is just darker, i don't know but i'll get used to it soon. i hope.

this is the year we will finally be getting a second vehicle.  over 3 years with having one car has been long enough. we are going to be buying another car for me, and the kiddos. no we are not going to be going crazy, we are buying used and will not have a payment on this car as well.

live within our means.


i need some suggestions.

we want either....

a mini van or

a suburban, yukon, or something like this.

we keep going back and forth on what we should get, so i'm turning to you.  what would you suggest we get?  those that have these vehicles what do you like about it most?

my inner emo.

if you know me personally you know that i change my hair often.

when i do its not unnoticeable. its pretty much in your face and freakin sweet!!


well i got my hair done last night.  well i actually got my hair done TWICE last night. 

My sister (my hard core hair stylist) colored my hair, and it just wasn't dark enough. i was going to wait to have it redone in a few days but she said it would bother her so we did it again. a quick trip to get the right color shade and then the proses began again.

it was definitely darker this time around. haha.

i love change! and i think i channeled my inner emo and had a flash back to high school. haha. I FREAKIN LOVE IT!

bed time

I'm sitting here in a quiet house. Husband is off at his friends house, and i'm so bored.  I'm  not tired enough to go to bed just yet.  i've already done my workout and holy moly!! I am feeling it.  I hope anyone else that is doing the 100 workout is feeling it too. (if your not and its a breeze, please lie to me.)

anyway, my children are tucked away all snug in their beds.  That's right, i said beds, plural.  Amelia is officially a toddler!  today is the second night she has been in her 'big girl' bed.  oh but this is not all!!  My girls are in the SAME room!

Thank you, thank you! i know, amazing things are happening at our house. Sure the first night of them sharing a room Evelyn woke up at around 2am crying and screaming cause she wet the bed and woke up Amelia, then they just played till about 4ish when then finally fell back asleep. (they were so cranky today)

I'd say its been a huge success!

I did take everything out of their room though.  I'm a mean mom.  the only thing in their room is (of course) their beds, a rug, and a couple of stuffed animal.  stuffed animals are much quieter than blocks and cars. quiet sleep = happy momma.

I'm hoping that with less distractions they will sleep better. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that all thing will go well tonight!

hair fail

so i consider myself an okay hair trimmer. i trim my kids hair. i have never attempted to actually cut some length off. a minimal amount is my kind of cut.

well i was trimming evelyns hair it grows really weird and uneven. so i told her to hold still.
fail #1. Don't tell your child to hold still they will do the exact opposite.
fail #2. continue to cut even though she moved. GAH!

that's right i ended up cutting about a 4-5inch chunk of hair off the back of my daughter beautiful long hair. i had no choice but to cut the rest. it was sad. PLUS i have no idea what i'm doing. so its a bit uneven but i did the best i could.

she does look a lot more grown up. i didn't want that yet!! but she did tell me the other day to stop calling her my baby and that she was a big girl. ::sigh::

oh and big girls get to dress themselves.

yesterday

I've been really into the Beatles lately.  i just started singing yesterday by the Beatles just because i typed it. it is an amazing song, one of my favorites.

so where was i?   oh yes the fun things we did yesterday.

i took my girls to the library, there very first time.  accompanied by my sister and her children, and i brought along my niece too. 

The girls in the back.  I must say that conversations that my daughter and her cousin had while driving to the library were hilarious!  3 year olds are too funny together, and they are basically frienimies.  They love each other but they don't get along very well.
they did make for some super cute back seat cargo.

This one had a fun time running away from me.  She thought it was super funny.  This is her famous cheese smile.  She makes her eyes and mouth open wide. 

To top off all the fun things I'm wanting to do with my girls this week, i have also started painting my kitchen cabinets.  I'm insane right?!  Playing all day and working all night.  I am already giddy with joy how much better my kitchen is looking!!  I can't wait for Chris to get home and see the kitchen!!  haha surprise!  well i did tell him that i was painting but its still a shocker!



I seriously hate the wood, its even worse in person! so glad its gone now. can't wait to show you the after at the end of the week!! and I'm sure the after picture there will be a mess on the counter top too. that's just how we do it here. :)
