Birthday/spring break trip

We rolled in late Thursday night from a great few days in California with the kids.  Before i go picture crazy don't forget to enter my Birthday week giveaway! Ends this Sunday!

We left Monday morning, cranky/excited kids + lots of stops made for a longer drive then we would have hoped for but that's just how traveling with children goes.  Thankfully no car sickness.

Tuesday morning the kids were up and ready to go. Chris and I on the other hand could have used way more sleep.  It was a long night of trying to get Camden to stay in bed, who ended up waking everyone at 3AM! Yikes is right! Got ready and headed across the street to Knott's Berry Farm. Chris has never been and that last night i was here was on my birthday when i think i was a teenager. I think 15 maybe.

When we told the kids we were going to Knott's for spring break they had no idea what we were talking about and thought it was a regular farm where you could pick berries. So when they realized it was not that but an amusement park they were super stoked.

It was the perfect day to go.  Hardly anyone was there and it stayed that way until we left the park around 4.  The girls had an absolute blast and got on every ride they were able to go on by themselves in Camp Snoopy.  We rode all the train rides together as a family.  We tried to get Camden to go on a few but he wasn't having it.  I did get him to go on one with me.  He hated/loved it, silly boy.

We were exhausted by the time we left and the kids slept great that night.

It was so great to spend my birthday at Knott's! I got a birthday pin and all the workers wished me a happy birthday. We had so much fun, even though i didn't go on many rides, it was all about my kids and seeing how much fun they were having. Making memories together is really why we went. It was perfect!! We love Knott's Berry Farm!

this is the ride i made Cam ride. He was crying, then saying wee then crying.

about 5 seconds later he almost fell over because he drifted off to sleep. poor guy didn't nap so he was tired!

Chris went on the Ferris Wheel with the girls. That's me with Cam.
Oh and Chris said that when he was getting on the ferris wheel with the girls the ride operator noticed their shirts and said how much he liked them. Chris told him that i drew them and the guy told Chris that they looked just like Schultz drawings and that they are always needing more people in the art department. Made me feel super awesome and seriously if only.

We're thinking we might buy season passes and go a few times this summer. It would be so fun for sure!!

Thanks for reading!!! Just a heads up my next post will be all about how i went to a spa and got a massage and facial for the very first time.

Have an awesome weekend folks!

C.A.C.A.2

this year we hunkered down in a little ol' California town called Oceanside.

it was so nice to be able to just relax and have a good time with family.

weeding weekend

this past weekend i was able to go with my husband to a wedding in Oceanside, CA.

thankfully my parents were able to watch the two rugrats so we could go. :)

i was hoping for a picture overload for you BUT my husband had the camera most of the time and didn't take many pictures. He did take a few too many of these big guys though.

i only uploaded these 2, there were a few more. He is pretty obsessed with these puppies.  You'd think three great danes in a house would be too much but they are so sweet and well behaved.

Any who, so like a said we were there for a wedding.  It was for my husbands friend Brian and his lovely wife Jessica.

It was a beautiful weekend and a beautiful wedding.  The weather was kind of on the cold side though. We were planning on going to the beach but for me it was just too cold, but i tried to embrace the cold knowing when i got home it would be super hot.

i did miss my girls a lot though. i started treating the puppies as my children: following them around, making sure they weren't getting into anything. it was fun.

thank you to Brian and Jessica for letting us stay at your house.  thank you to my parents for watching the girls they had so much fun they have been telling me all the things they did with you guys.

a couple of videos and pictures for you.

::the videos i was trying to upload were giving me grief, i'll see if they will post later::

we'll actually be back in oceanside the weekend after next for a week with my family. we can't wait to go back. i'll keep the camera next time and have more pictures to share. :)

not like the others.

Okay so i'm not usually the type of person that cares to accessorise any sort of outfit or look of some kind.

I'm usually trying to just barley get myself out the door, i didn't feel the need to add anything extra.
well i must admit.

I WAS WRONG.

The ONLY time i will admit i was wrong.  Please enjoy this moment in history.
Its super easy to through on a necklace or a cute pair of earrings! Who would have thought right?! Crazy talk!

My thoughts on these things changed well when my kids stopped messing with my things a bit.  So i figured now it a good time to try things out.  Oh and i happened to find some really cute stuff at this amazing store in San Diego that i got a few things at. And the best part is, if they break I'm not going to care there were only 1 dollar. That's right, the great accessory dollar store in the history of the planet!

The name is called 'Everythings a Deal' so right there should have let me know of the awesomeness i was about to witness.

I will show you some of the cute things i got. remember all one dollar people!! YES!

i got these two adorable rings.  my personal favorite in the turtle of course! i love it!

i seem to be going through an owl stage. just got with it.

            super fun earrings!
down side: the backs on these things are like and inch long.
if i hug someone my head will start bleeding from a hole puncture wound.
Still so cute and fun though!!

Okay these lasts set of earrings i want to plat a little game with you!!
Its called: which one is not like the others?!

Are you up for it! I hope your excited because i sure am!

First off i want to say i bought this set of earrings for the owls. bees. ladybugs and fishies.

okay let the game begin.

spot it??? hahahaha!!!
